Falling from the Heavens Empty Falling from the Heavens

Post by Sorin Sun Feb 21, 2021 6:19 pm

The people of Disney Town were in a panic after an object fell from the sky and crashed into the ground around the racetrack. For the citizens they were avoiding the crash site, waiting for someone to check to see if everything was alright. However in this case the only person actually looking at the crash site was not a resident of the town.

James Mercier had been just taking his time going through the town when he heard the sound of the crash. While the people around him panicked, he went to find the source. Not out of any desire to see if someone needed help but to satisfy his own curiosity. What he found were the remains of a rather standard looking Gummi Ship. He recognized it as he had a similar one himself. However what really caught his eye was the survivor of the crash. With a hand ready to draw his gun he made his way over to them.

Upon seeing her still alive, James briefly considered putting a round into her to finish her off as the woman was obviously a Converger like him but he ignored it. Too many chances to get caught and just killing her wouldn't be enough to blow his cover over. So rather than that he would play the role of a good Samaritan and help her. Taking out a Potion, James used it on her and then waited to see if she woke up. He could play the long game for now.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rikka was rather worried when she looked around the Main Plaza of the town. Since her encounter with Azumi back in Port Royal she decided to travel with her to Yen Sid's Tower. The two took their own ships which turned out to have been a good idea as during the flight there, they were attacked by Heartless. They eventually beat them back only for Azumi to get shot down at the end and landing on this world. She could do nothing but hope that her companion managed to survive the crash.

(For Greg and Shine. For Azumi and Rikka it takes place after Pirate)

(If you want a general approach of how the map looks, going from the Main Plaza to the Raceway [just outside of the Racetrack itself], look here.)

As stated, this takes place after "She's a Pirate" in The Caribbean.)

    Racetrack

"Ugh..." The young woman twitched, a red eye opening slightly as she tried to take in her surroundings, the green liquid of the potion having passed her lips, as her consciousness returned. Her hood was covering her face, her cheek to the ground at present. On the whole, she was wearing what appeared to be some kind of retro-fitted darker light armor, along with a cloak of some sort, though not the same worn by the more infamous people around.

She looked up in his direction weakly, fatigue quickly beginning to set in as her thoughts came back together. "Who are--?" At that moment, it all came over her at once. Some kind of... force shoved into her, as if a biological equivalent to an electromagnetic pulse. It had apparently been doing so as soon as she had left the ship, but she couldn't have really known, having been knocked unconscious at the time. First came a splitting headache, causing her to groan, as if her brain was twisting inside of her head. Then fatigue began to set in, her arms shaking despite themselves as she tried to stand. Finally, she couldn't hold it in anymore. Turning, she released everything in her stomach on the ground as a wave of nausea took over, collapsing from the pain and convulsions before darkness took her once more, rendering her deep into unconsciousness.

Whatever was happening to Azumi Tamashī, it was clearly not normal.

    ==========

(This also takes place after "Sci-Fi Set" in Toy Box.)

    Main Plaza

Not far from the blonde woman, a young man with white hair was fidgeting a bit, standing to the side. His bright blue eyes were looking around the plaza, at the bright colors all around, as he waited for his companion with the green skin to go and get her frozen treat from the nearby vendor.

Naito was not stupid. He knew that she was not just taking him here for ice cream, but for a chance at something nicer to deal with after his breakdown at the Toy Box. She had even explained what ice cream even was. He did make a good mochi, but if she wanted to go with something she knew better, that was her decision.

As he looked back and forth, he saw one person in particular, someone who caused him to stare. She was a beautiful, yes, with her blonde hair and brilliant wings, but while he did notice her looks, he was simultaneously filled with fear, with memories. He knew the fate of the Celestials, the ones he had watched fall, had never stopped...

The Moon Tribesman did not have any real panic at that moment, but he was unsure of how to proceed. what if he ended up killing this one, of an apparently different species of the tenshi altogether?

(If Sorin wants, she could come over. Feel free to show the other sides of her personality if you want.)

"For the last time, one ball of chocolate chip mint, one of strawberry cheesecake and one of caramel vanilla." Kara repeated, having had the misfortune to get the service of a deaf, turtle, working on the ice cream stand. It didn't help he also went on tangents involving some of the sports they do in the town. The engineer unfortunately learned the ice cream vendor was a big fan of Fruitball. She could already feel a slight, nursing headache that would come if the topic would return to that sport one more time.

Thankfully for Kara, the vendor did get her order right this time, and even got to work on it faster than she expected. Taking the three scoop sundae bowl, she paid the turtle and walked back towards Naito. It had been her intention to bring him to a more relaxing place after their adventure in Toy Town got too much for him. She had been worried about him and was lucky he decided to come along after latching onto ice cream as a way to get him to come with her. It never occurred to her to ask if he already knew what ice cream was or not. Either way, it was too late to worry about that and the fact the engineer made a fool of herself explaining something that the snowy haired man already knew.

"Sorry for the wait. I hope I didn't make you wait long, Nai." Kara said, walking towards the fidgeting Naito. When she didn't get a reply and saw that he was staring, she looked over the direction his gaze was and saw a blonde woman with wings. "...an angel? Here? Is she a Converger like us?" The engineer asked, taking a bite out of her sundae. Right now, she knew better than to touch Naito when he's distracted.

James couldn't keep the disgust off his face when the woman threw up. Thankfully it didn't get on him so he grabbed the woman and started pulling her away. Back in the Realm of Reality, moving an injured person was a bad idea but the Potion he had given her should have healed the most major injuries enough at least let him move her someplace safer than the crash site. Once he was far enough he gave her a second Potion, just in case. Now that left James just waiting until she woke up.

As he waited he thought about what he was going to do. This was the first time he encountered another Converger. Oh he wanted to hunt them once he heard he wasn't the only one but doing so is dangerous. If that ever got out, he'd have a target on his back. So that meant he would have to play the long con. This woman would be surely in his debt after what he did to save her and that meant he could have an ally that could speak on his behalf as well as an information source.

Or maybe something even more. Another idea started making it's way into James' mind and if he was a less skilled actor he would have a rather dangerous looking grin on his face.

Rikka looked around trying to find any kind of clue. It didn't seem people knew much about anything crashing nearby which made her search for Azumi harder. She had been looked across the crowd of people until she found someone who stood out, a young man with white hair. As if that wasn't enough he was soon joined by a green skinned woman. Rikka was close enough to hear from the green skinned woman say Converger which confirmed that they were like her. Hoping they had information Rikka walked over to the two.

"Excuse me. Did you two see anything crash nearby? My companion was shot down by Heartless and crashed on this world." Rikka decided not to beat around the bush. It was obvious the three of them were Convergers and she might as well get the information she needed.

Azumi's eyes fluttered open as she found herself on the side of the road. The sun was high in the sky, smoke rising from her crashed ship nearby. That was more or less expected, and she had gotten used to the idea of waking up in an area and immediately assessing her surroundings a long time ago. Once she had seen that, and had listened, hearing the sounds of men and women escaping the crash, she groaned, the pain coming back to her. It was a duller one, and did not make her physically ill in the same way it had before, but it still remained there, a throbbing headache. The woman looked up at the man before her, the one who had evidently, by the looks of her nearby ship, pulled her from the wreckage. She tensed a bit, aware she was nearly defenseless, but despite some darkness rising from her hand, she did not have a readily available weapon. Yes, she could draw her gun if need be, but her knife was in a bad spot, and killing a target like this was likely more trouble than it was worth.

Instead, she forced herself to relax, the faint aura dissipating completely. Keeping her voice level, as she normally did, but not hiding her normal speaking voice as she may in situations where she was more overtly against someone (on top of still nursing her headache), she spoke. "... Who are you?" She wasn't going to thank him without being completely sure he had been the one to save her from the wreck, even if for some reason she felt relatively calm around him.

Little did she know, her calm was tied to her powers... which were working a bit less than they normally did, even with her attempted summon of their potential.

    ==========

Naito was shaken from his focus by Kara's words, but did not outwardly answer her. The answer seemed relatively obvious, yes, but he also did not know how exactly to respond. Instead, he answered the blonde, winged woman as she came over to them, just shaking his head. "... Where?" he asked, meaning the location where the crash may have occurred. He seemed to be wanting to be polite around her on some level, though whether it was because of how she looked or because of his own history was not entirely certain.

(Up to you all how you want to approach this. Can use it to help get into them talking. Doesn't necessarily mean they have to get along [though I do have a reaction from Azumi planned once they come together].)

"No, we didn't see anything. We've only been in this part of the world when we arrived." Kara replied, eating her sundae. She knew the situation was serious from what the blonde angel Converger said, but she had also paid for the ice cream and wasn't going to let it go to waste. The engineer knew the situation was serious though, especially if the woman's partner crashed due to a Heartless attack.

"We should search for her immediately though. Damn, a radar would be useful at a times like this." Kara muttered, deciding to add something like that into a list to work on later. Even though they were in Disney Town and Heartless didn't seem to appear in this world, it didn't mean there weren't other threats that could somehow sneak into this world to cause havoc. "That said, what does your companion look like? How is she dressed and what kind of hardware do they pack for protection? And more importantly, how do we make your companion not attack us in case we find them without you."

James watched the woman he rescued as she finally woke up. While at first she seemed to be assessing her situation, he was prepared to pull out his gun just in case she decided to be hostile. When the aura around her vanished he relaxed slightly. Now that she was looking for answers it was the chance he was waiting for. James always considered himself a good actor but he never had a real chance to try out his acting once he became a Converger. Now that he was finally dealing with another Converger he could see how well he could do.

"James Mercier. I pulled you from the crash." James responded, looking calm as he looked through his things before pulling out an unopened water bottle and held it out to the women. "Here, you threw up earlier. And are you feeling any better? I still have a few more Potions in case you need them. I'm amazed you survived that crash."

Rikka couldn't hide her annoyance that the two of them didn't know anything. How in the world could anyone miss a ship crashing on the world, especially when it was so close to the city? It would do no good to yell at them since they seemed to be offering their help.

"Considering the lack of panic around here, it crashed outside of the town so that would be the best place to start. As for what she looks like, she'll be wearing dark armor and usually has a hood up to hide her face. She also has a mark on her face. She seems to have some kind of power over Darkness and is armed with a gun and a knife. And tell her that Rikka Masami sent you." Rikka told them.

Right now Rikka did not care about how curt she was, not even properly introducing herself nor caring about getting their names at the moment. She could get them later once they made themselves useful and search for Azumi.

The woman before him looked in his direction, the hood still hiding the top half of her face in shadow. She was silent for a few moments. Could she trust him? Could she drink something he gave her?

Judging from his words, he had fed her a Potion before, so if he was drugging her, he probably already had. A water was probably safe, at least so far as these worlds went. She had not yet seen someone poisoning another person in any of them. And further... she couldn't really bring herself to care too much about it. The throbbing was continuing, but it was more manageable, and as he leaned in with the water, it seemed to momentarily lessen even further. Perhaps he was... protecting her with some form of magic? Whatever was going on here, it was exclusively affecting her, and nobody else around.

She took the water bottle, and drank it, tipping the whole thing back and drinking it, doing her best to avoid guzzling it down, given her previous physical illness. Once she was done, she crushed it in her hands, but kept holding on to it, mostly doing so to keep minimal space in the trash or recycling.

"... Azumi Tamashī," the woman said in return once she was done, having decided on giving that. "Thanks. I... I'm feeling a bit better. There's something about this place. As soon as I got out of the ship, it's like... like a wave of nausea. But only for me." She was about to ask about him, about why she was feeling better now, when she realized. She had been traveling, had been attacked...

... and Rikka had been right there, in another ship. Her eyes widened in shock. "Rikka," she said softly in surprise, mostly to herself. With that, she looked to Mercier. "Have you seen a blonde angel, white, bright wings, golden and white armor? She looks like she's in her early twenties."

    ==========

Naito did not know how to take that shift in tone. He knew he had nothing to do with it, had nothing he could do, but he still felt a bit hurt. Nonetheless, he decided to try at a response to this Rikka Masami. "Um... Okay," he replied. He figured Kara would know how to handle the abrasive woman a bit better, as he was never much of a people person.

The entire area was pretty condensed with them on one end of it near an exit, and he knew that the other woman was likely essentially on the other end of the town, but he had no idea how he could get there easily. Was there a faster way? Some way to find the crash site? Perhaps smoke?

If there was enough carnage, he wasn't sure he could control himself. But he had to try, if nothing else than to have more people to protect him if others came to kill him.

Kara scowled at the tone this Rikka Masami, since that was the name she told them to tell to her companion, an Azumi Tamashi, was giving to them. "I know you're worried about your friend. But how about not getting annoyed at two people who just had their own stressful adventure and came here to relax and forget what happened earlier? Okay? Okay. Let's go, Nai." She brought up a display, showing a map of Disneytown, having gotten a view of the world from her ship and downloaded the map into her RIG.

The engineer looked at the map display then showed it to the two. "Since it has to be out of town, it has to be either the racetrack or the court down here." She pointed, not wanting to say the words she had no choice but to say. "Since you were separated from her, I'd say we should.... check out the fruitball court..." Kara sighed and closed the map, pointing at where they needed to go. "It's the closest out of town spot. If your friend ain't there, then it has to be the racetrack."

James now had a name, Azumi Tamashi. It wasn't one he recognized but that meant little considering she could still be from any world. The information about why she was sick made James rather curious. It didn't sound like it was from the crash yet for some reason she got sick. The main thing about this world was the Cornerstone of Light, so perhaps the nausea was caused by it. If that was the case then Azumi might be related to Darkness somehow. It was just a theory so he would have to get more information out of her before then.

"Is this Rikka a friend? I haven't seen anyone like her and it sounds like she would stand out on this world." James told her, filing away the name and description for later. An angel would be a rather interesting target in the future.

"Sorry to change the subject but you getting sick is rather odd. This world is protected by the Cornerstone of Light. It doesn't make much sense why you would get sick." James explained. Depending on how she answered James was hoping to get an idea of what Azumi can do.

Back with Rikka she nodded as she looked over the map that the green woman brought up. Those would be the most likely spots that Azumi could have crashed into. "Let's go then." She said as she started to walk towards the court.

After a few steps she paused for a moment. "Thank you for your help." Rikka said with a bit of an apology in her tone. She knew that she was rather curt with them since they had no obligation to help yet at the same time Rikka wasn't one to just apologize to people she had just met. This was likely the best that she was going to give out at this time. If they found Azumi she would likely actually give an apology but until then she was focused on the search.

Normally, Azumi would have kept too much information close to the chest. She knew what to do, what to hide. However, for some reason, she found little reason to be too upset beyond her focus on her more common companion. Was she a friend? Well, yes. But... Was that it? Was that the term?

Dwell on that later. "Yeah, she is," the young woman responded to the first question. "We got separated by..." She paused for a moment, just enough to get the right terminology. She had to work on the habit. "Heartless, I think is the right term. I crashed and I don't know if she's okay."

She heard the last of what he had to say, and sighed. "Light, huh?" Azumi looked around, making sure nobody else was looking their way. "I have a lot of darkness inside of me. What does this 'Cornerstone' do? Everyone seems peaceful, so... it keeps away the dark?" She thought a moment, swearing under her breath. "Knew I was a freak... Guess I'll need to stick to no powers here..." She shook her head, her ponytail a bit more free of her hood, showing its white tips and overall auburn-and-blue coloration. "But... why am I feeling better with you here?"

(He could lie if he wants, if he has any means he wants to try to get to her.)

    ==========

Naito just nodded, not caring about her attitude too much. He followed them toward the court, quiet as he went. He was overall deep in thought. The Celestial before him, for one. What was she? Was she related to the Celestials of Nippon? Had some survived the massacre?

"... Are you... Celestial?" he asked. He wasn't one to say much about himself, but he just wanted to know, needed to know. The style of clothing wasn't the same by any measure, but still it was close enough to the Celestials for him to wonder.

Kara simply blinked as the woman, Rikka, thanked them for the help. Not saying anything, she simply followed, passing by her and taking the lead, since she was the one with the map. The engineer walked with the angel and Naito into the fruitball court, groaning internally as she recalls the name yet again. Dismissing the map, now that they had arrived, she looked around.

Looking around, Kara frowned as the area looked relatively clear. She saw no obvious signs of a crash at a cursory glance, but that wouldn't do if someone was in danger. The engineer got distracted as she overheard Naito ask Rikka if she was a Celestial. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at that. "She may look the part but she sure doesn't behave the part." Kara thought to herself, walking away from the two to inspect the area better. Right now, there was Rikka's partner to find and rescue.

Falling from the Heavens Empty Re: Falling from the Heavens

Post by Sorin Sun May 09, 2021 5:25 pm

So Azumi really was someone who had Darkness within her. It confirmed James' suspicions and brought up that his own abilities seemed to be capable of blocking out the Cornerstone. Knowing he could do that could come in handy in the future so James made a mental note about it.

When Azumi asked why she was feeling better being around him, James took a moment to think about how to reply. He could lie to her as she wouldn't know any better but there wasn't any lie that would be believable long term. His abilities might not be flashy but they also aren't subtle. It wouldn't take too long before his powers become known and questions would come up about why he lied about it. So the best way forward for him was to tell some truth to gain Azumi's trust further.

"I'm told I'm anti magic. It's sort of a field around me that negates magic. It's possible that being close to me the light of the Cornerstone is no longer affecting you." James told her. It wasn't the full extent of his abilities but he would keep that one close to his chest for the time being. "And as for your friend I haven't noticed any other crashing ships so it's possible she is looking for you. Once you recover enough we can go into town and search for her."

Back with Rikka as she began her search she stopped for a moment when the man asked if she was a Celestial. The question was enough to take her mind away from Azumi for the moment and she allowed herself to act more normally.

"I have not heard of any beings called Celestials. It is possible that they are angels like myself." Rikka answered unable to hide the pride in which she said that. It didn't take much for Rikka to accept her new form as an angel. Rikka was already proud of how she looked, but now that she looked like a literal angel it was getting closer to vanity.

Normally, Azumi would be suspicious about the idea of anti-power. After all, it was this power that had kept her alive, yes? She hated it, but it was what she was. Master Aqua had been a magic user for sure, taught her some things even if she couldn't do them herself. So someone like that should be watched, and not trusted.

    "... Oh. Alright, then."

Unfortunately, Azumi's powers were based in emotion. And emotion came in a wide variety of forms... including willpower, by some estimates. As such, she couldn't really bring herself to care about how his powers functioned, only that they could help to keep her standing, keep her looking. And if he wanted to help... Well, all the better. She took a deep breath, then another... yes, she could probably stand, could probably go around with him to search. The trooper got to her feet, shakily but becoming steady as she rose up fully, stretching a bit to make sure she didn't break anything, not caring about if he was looking. Once that was done, she looked in his direction, though still not lowering her hood at all.

"So lead the way, then. I'll try and stick close."

    ==========

"... What kind?" Naito asked, his words still soft, still relatively taciturn as always. He did not know what kind of Celestial she was, but it was unlikely she was of the Nippon tenshi. He just wanted to be sure if he was in trouble for what he had-- what had happened. What he had been forced to witness.

Kara overheard the two still speaking as she searched around. Looking back at them, she could see the pride exuding from Rikka so hard that she had to restrain the urge to groan. "The kind who's head grow to humongous size when they feel proud, Nai. They tend to crack and show off warped flesh under their skin when that happens." The engineer retorted her own answer, a bit too loudly. She actually didn't care if the angel heard her and continued the search.

"Now let's keep searching for her friend, although it doesn't look like she's here. There's no sign of a crash nor nothing of the sort here." Kara added, bringing up the map again. She was looking over where to search for this Azumi next. "Next is the racetrack. Although we could take another look here in case we missed anything before moving on."

Azumi seemed to be taking the explanation about his power rather well in James' own opinion. Still best to keep an eye on her for the time being. James was not sure how his powers would react to other Convergers, even in just its aura form. Not to mention he wanted to get a full grasp of her feelings on his power. She seemed to take it well but considering her current state she could just be keeping what she truly thought hidden until she was in a safer position.

James put an arm around Azumi to keep her steady as he started to slowly make his way toward town. "There is no need to push yourself. Even with the potions you were just in a rather nasty crash." He told her.

As they walked James noticed that Azumi seemed rather subdued, likely from the crash. "You mentioned you were traveling with someone. Why don't you tell me about them." James asked, not only to get a conversation going but also to get more information about another Converger.

Back with Rikka she was about to respond to the man but his companion spoke up first. The angel's eye twitched as she glared at the green woman. Rikka had known plenty of people who were not found of her and the way she acted, and it seems like this woman was another. That was fine as Rikka was used to dealing with them. The snide comment was easily ignored as she turned back to the man, Nai, as he was called by his friend. "I believe I am a one of a kind angel. I haven't actually met any others before."

Turning back to the green woman Rikka added. "I think the race track is our best bet. We can come back later if we need to but time is of the essence."

Azumi nodded a bit, letting this man, James, lead her, an arm around her shoulders. She was very calm, calmer than she had been in a very long time, eminently relaxed.

"I'll be careful, don't worry," she accepted his judgment. She could handle herself... probably, but having some help walking was nice. "Oh, right." She shook the "fog" from her mind for a moment, enabling her to think a little more clearly. Very clearly, in fact, without much emotional baggage in the way, for good or ill. "Her name is Rikka Masami. She seems to usually wear bright armor, gold and white, but no helmet. She has golden blonde hair, a cool color to her eyes... There is also a set of bright wings she has, which are like an angel. She's very good looking, too." She didn't really even register having admitted to that assessment, just continuing onward. "She seems to mostly use light-based magic. Constructs and blasts. She is relatively new to all of this. This is to help find her, right? Why do you want to know, Mercier?"

(She'll likely still call him by last name unless told otherwise, out of habit. But she'll listen to him if he tells her otherwise.)

Naito was socially awkward, but he was not stupid. He knew that Kara was just trying to insult this angel, and even if he was not fully aware as to why. As such, he did not respond much to her comment about the horrors beneath Rikka Masami's skin, instead focusing on trying to search within the court. As the search came up empty, he had been considering looking more... but this was none of his concern, even if he wanted to help the angel.

And she was... not a usual type? Did any of the rules apply? He was unsure, and he tilted his head in confusion at the thought, only to come back to proper concentration once more with the note that they should keep going. "... Is there a rush?" It was not a long sentence, but still he seemed to make an effort to get it out.

"She's afraid for her friend's life, Nai. That's why she feels the need to rush. Normally, I'd say to calm down but she's... right." Kara winces at admitting that, due to Rikka's prideful behavior grating at her. "No telling if she's being ambushed by something dangerous, Cornerstone or no Cornerstone." She took the lead, bringing the map display back up.

"We should hurry to the race track. Come on, Nai, Goose." The engineer had a grin in her face that wasn't seen by the two as she called Rikka Goose. She had seen the angel simply brush off her comment, probably ignoring her. So Kara took it as meaning she could say anything she wants about Rikka and the latter wouldn't have a right to complain. After all, in the engineer's mind, if you're going to ignore someone, you lose the right to complain and defend yourself over whatever said person says.

"Of course it's to help identify her. I'm sure she is worried about you." James said smoothly. The description Azumi gave of her friend, this Rikka Masami, was interesting. Someone looking like an actual angel was something James had never heard of. He would keep a close eye on this angel when he meets her. The extra information Azumi gave him, would come in handy in the future. It was strange for her to tell him so much but James just figured it was still due to the crash and having hit her head.

"And please call me James." He added trying to get her to be more casual with him. "So Rikka is new to the whole Convergence thing huh? I've been here for a while but you are the first Converger I've actual met."

While Rikka did appreciate Kara's help in responding about the rush, Rikka's eyes twitched a little at the nickname she was just given. As annoyed as she was over it, Rikka was not going to respond to it and give her any satisfaction over it. She was above it after all and would not lower herself to name calling.

"She's right. Not to mention we don't know what condition she could be in. While I would hope that the locals would give her first aid we don't know that for sure. The faster we can find her the faster we can help her." Rikka added as she looked over the map and started moving a bit faster towards the race track. "Though Nai, was it? Is there a reason why you were so interested over the fact that I am an angel? Rikka asked. He seemed to be more than just curious over her appearance and she wanted to see why that is.

"Uh huh," Azumi nodded, listening more. He was right. Rikka probably was worried sick after all. She had gotten into a bad crash. The young woman kept walking, her footing more or less steady, as she quietly allowed him to talk to her. "Sure, James," she allowed. "I met a few so far. Her, a sword guy named Sorin, Master Riku, who taught me a bit... Different from what Master Aqua could. Where have you been going, if you didn't see anyone until now?"

Naito didn't seem to really register the nickname, embarrassing, insulting, or no. He was still focused ahead, wondering where he had gone wrong, what he could have done, what type of angel she w--

... and she was asking him why. Of course she was.

He lowered his gaze a bit, ashamed of his overtness, and took a few seconds to answer. Once he did, his voice was shaky, but still only very brief. "... Have history."

Kara saw the expression that Naito had on his face after Rikka asked about his reasoning over asking if she was an angel. "Just leave it at that, Masami." She said, her tone making it clear that she won't let the angel continue her questioning. The engineer knew her snowy haired friend had some issues to work out and felt that Rikka's curiosity would cause more problems in the long term.

"Come on, we can't drag our feet. We need to find Goose's friend before her feathers get ruffled." She added, pushing the two to get a move on to find this Azumi. Kara hoped that annoying her then getting her to focus on her friend would make her leave Naito alone. Otherwise, she would have to be very direct with the angel.

So Azumi knew not only Riku but also Aqua? If James kept close to her then he could have a good eye on those two and all the Keyblade Masters. While they did fall under James' targets, he was content to leave them alone, at least until they dealt with Xehanort. After all what that old man had planned causes many problems that James would prefer to avoid having to deal with. He would be defeated like in the story, possibly even easier with all the other Convergers who wouldn't hesitate to join in and play the hero.

"No place too backwoods. Honestly it could have simply been bad luck that I missed anyone till now. Or maybe now that there are more Convergers appearing we are being drawn to each other." James responded. The second opinion was something James had considered himself. It wasn't something he could just ignore after all. Not all these worlds run on the same kind of logic the Realm of Reality does after all.

Rikka no matter how she acted, did have enough tact to see that Naito really didn't want to talk about his connection to angels and knew not to push any further. No one gets as popular as Rikka got by being completely blind to social situations.

She held her tongue at Kara as the green woman was obviously concerned about Naito. The angel did appreciate that she managed to change the subject in order to get rid of the current atmosphere that she unintentionally created. With a nod at her, Rikka picked up speed as she made her way to the racetrack. Looking around Rikka found the remains of Azumi's crashed ship. Now that she had confirmation that Azumi had landed here, now she had to find out where her companion is.

Azumi nodded sedately to that assessment. It made sense, in any case. Master Aqua had made a big deal about the connectivity of hearts, and while Azumi herself didn't put an overwhelming amount of stock in magic, she wasn't exactly going to argue with her sister-in-arms and mentor, who knew a lot more about magic than she ever had.

The two continued up the pathway, away from the racetrack. In spite of her calm, the woman looked around, trying to find her friend. Yes, her willpower was lessened, but she still knew she had to find her. Was she in danger? Where could-

There. The white-haired figure seemed constantly nervous, and the green-skinned one seemed to be akin to a… caretaker of sorts. She seemed pretty, though Azumi was not going to go out and tell her. She seemed more of an engineer than a warrior, or at least outfitted with unusually high technology. However, despite everything, only one person was who she outright focused on.

Rikka Masami stuck out by a long shot, even without her companions. She seemed worried, looking this way and that, evidently looking for her. She seemed to be physically unharmed, though apparently irritated. Was it because of her, or the others? She would have tried discerning her emotional state, but they would involve her powers…

Regardless, she acted on impulse, letting go of James for a moment. She took several steps away, about to break into a run--

… when the headache returned, the sickened feeling. The woman stumbled back into him with a groan, her back to the man who had saved her.

"Rikka… Was looking for you. Too much light, hurts my head." She calmed down, the pain subsiding due to James's proximity. "Can you come here?"

Naito saw the woman, hooded as per the description. He was on edge, very nervous, on the verge of a breakdown. An angel and a woman named Azumi… was he cursed in more ways than he thought, doomed to repeat it all?

"Her?" he asked Rikka and Kara, unsure if this was their target.

Kara continued following the map, looking up to make sure the way was clear then stopped as she spotted two figures. One was a hooded woman, the description being exactly what the angel, Rikka had said. She hoped this would mean that she'd finally calm down and stop having her head full of hot air. It was the second person that got the engineer's attention though. A blonde haired man was accompanying her, holding onto the hooded woman.

Kara narrowed her eyes at the sight, it brought back memories of Cain, when she met him in Agrabah. Even though he didn't hurt anyone, he had been suspect and now finding another blonde just made her suspicious. Still, she made no moves until Azumi stumbled, prompting her to take out her Plasma Cutter. "What did you do to her, asshole?!" The engineer yelled, glaring at the man, as the hooded woman spoke. Scowling as she heard the words, she hesitantly lowered her weapon as Azumi walked back towards him.

James held his hands up as Azumi's companion showed up with two others. All three were remarkable, with who he was assuming to be Rikka with her blonde hair, glowing blue eyes and of course wings on her back. The woman with green skin was just as eye catching and while the man with white hair was somewhat less so, they still stood out. Today was turning out to be much more interesting than he could have ever imagined.

"I found her after she crashed and I've been taking care of her." James said, keeping his hands up in case the green woman tried to point her weapon at him again. It was an annoyance and made him want to make her pay for the audacity but James kept those feelings back. After all what good would it be for him to expose himself in front of all these people? No James could bide his time and wait.

Seeing Azumi alright, Rikka ran over to her ignoring Kara and Naito as she checked on her companion. "Azumi...I'm so relieved to see that you are okay." Rikka said as she took Azumi's hand. Yet now that she was close to her, she could feel something wrong. As if she couldn't reach her powers anymore. The only thing that could have that happen was the man next to them so Rikka looked over at him with a bit of a glare.

    "Who are you?" Rikka demanded.

"I am James Mercier and as I said I've been taking care of Azumi. From what I can tell she's negatively affected by the Cornerstone of Light. My own abilities seem to protect her from it." James added, not wanting to go too much into details about his powers.
