    Age: 22

    Gender: Female

    Appearance: Kara has black, wavy hair that falls down to just below her shoulders and light green eyes, as well as green skin in keeping with similar-colored blood after the awakening of her magic. She is considered well endowed and good looking by many. The palm of her hands show discoloration from second degree burns she got as a child. A RIG is placed on her since she arrived at the Dead Space Universe and two suits for it. The Arctic Survival suit for areas of cold climates and the Hacker suit which she wears most of the time.

    Her primary outfit is a Hacker RIG which Kara had customized for her own use consists of this outfit except the shirt is black with a slogan on it reading "New Horizons, No Hope" (she still changes shirts once in a while), metal grav-boots, communication ear buds and a ballistic vest with attached RIG system, chest-mounted holo-projector and back-mounted maneuvering thrusters. A wristwatch is on the user's left wrist. There is also a gas mask of sorts that forms from the holo-projector on a mental command from the RIG's user, wrapping around the entire head from the chin to the back of the top of the user's head, with two parallel horizontal slits of blue used for sight on the front in addition to a single circular blue light on the top left of the mask for added illumination. The mask is held in place by a series of metal straps around the back of the head, but allow the hair to be free, as well as the neck and ears.

    For colder climates, she tends toward using the Arctic Survival suit, woven with classified SCAF (Sovereign Colonies Armed Forces) synthetic fibers that insulate the body from extreme cold and hypothermic conditions. The fur-like synthetic fibers can be seen on the collar area of the suit.It has the same technologies as the Hacker Suit in arms of the thrusters, boots, and holo-projector. This RIG was her first one, obtained on Tau Volantis when she first woke up.

    Personality: Kara is an outgoing person, and very willing to tease others, whether it be of a romantic nature or just to joke at their expense on other topics, at times being rather crude in the process. Nonetheless, while she does tease, she is annoyed when others only appreciate her for her body, intentionally keeping attention away from it by focusing in on her work. She's known to get angry and have a short temper when dealing with people she doesn't like, as well as not being afraid to speak her mind when someone does something she doesn't like, especially if it is against what she believes in.

    She is very curious, especially with machines in general, whether weapons like guns or more peaceful devices. This ended up giving her a bad habit since the instant she saw something that interests her, she'd take it apart without a second thought, whether it works or not nor whether it's being used or not. Kara had gotten a better control of that since she started college but it still happens from time to time. Kara also has a fear of fire (arsonphobia or pyrophobia).

    Due to her exposure to the Red Marker in the Ishimura, Kara suffers from Marker-induced dementia, characterized by vivid hallucinations, violent behavior, extreme paranoia, and other schizophrenic-like symptoms. She has only begun to suffer from it, and so only has the first stage of development, which consist mostly of voices in the head or visual hallucinations such as people, and may be either calm or violent.

    Powers: Nature Magic. The life force of the planet itself, Nature is a magic that has always been hard to pin down. It has connections to Wind, Plant, Water and Earth magics, but is always weak to things like Metal, Dark and even partially weak to Fire. It seems to manifest most often as a green glow about things, and is occasionally accompanied by the scent of roses or daisies. Nature make is strongest in natural settings but suffers in urban areas, though it will only refuse to work in a setting that is 100% unnatural. Kara's powers and strength are proportionate to the amount of life around her, with it weaker in areas without plants, but is not strengthened by animal life either.

    Kara obtains her magic after visiting Merlin.

    - Thorn Patch: A spell between Offense and Defense, this spell summons a small patch of thick thorns were the caster so chooses; either halting the advance of an enemy, or forming them under one for damage. With experience, this kind of skill can even be used to create other kinds of plants at will, even for a short time.

    - Bramble Armor: Can create an armor of plant life around her body as a last resort.

    - Scouring Winds: This spell brings forth a windstorm of stinging local flora (or even just local environs in general if no plants are available) that blocks all vision.

    - Crawling Vines: Vines emerge from the ground or elsewhere in the nearby area, holding a target in place or dragging them toward Kara. (LOCKED)

    -Prune: The caster can prune and otherwise tend plants within 30 feet without using gardening tools. That caster can search wooded areas and other plant-heavy areas from a distance, telepathically sifting through them for various effects. By concentrating, she can detect plants within 120 feet. (LOCKED)

    -Zephyr: A blast of wind that could blow a large group back, or be concentrated into a strong blow at a single enemy; provided the caster can concentrate. (LOCKED)

    - Deadly Rose: Lets loose a barrage of boughs, vines, thorns, or a deluge of stinging blooms, possibly coated in organic poison or acid. (LOCKED)

    - Tanglevine: A fifteen-foot long vine emerges from Kara's hand, enabling her to trip, disarm, or steal something close by, or as a substitute for lacking ground to use with "Crawling Vines." If the latter, this renders her unable to use her arms for much else until she is ready. (LOCKED)

    -Oxygenate: The Caster summons water purer than the clearest spring; revitalizing the body and increasing stamina. (LOCKED)

    - Soiled Earth: Merging water into earth magic through their connection to nature, Kara is capable of turning rock to soil in order to essentially "melt" stone.(LOCKED]

    -Spying Flower: The user sprouts a flower from the ground, which, when blooms, reveals an eye, allowing them to spy on their intended target. (LOCKED)

    -Fertile Soil: The area about the caster is infused with magical energy at the cost of half their magic; however, any spell they cast before the effect wears off is significantly stronger. (LOCKED)

    - Whispering Wind: Can send a soft message on the wind to a designated spot, enabling communication in stealthier situations, which is heard as a gentle, rustling voice. With enough experience, the caster can also listen to the targeted area for a response for a brief time. (LOCKED)

    -Bloody Roots: Can cause a field of thick roots to burrow up from the ground, acting as a mass of vines that appear similar to living, thorny tentacles that cause damage to foes. The area is centered on the caster when she activates the ability but remains stationary if she then moves. The caster is unaffected by the roots, and her allies may find navigating the are difficult, but the roots do not attack them, only the foes. (LOCKED)

    -Sakura Petals: A whirlwind of petals from a Sakura tree covers a large area with the caster at the center; upending all within it while dealing steady damage every second to ally and enemy alike. (LOCKED)

    Abilities: Due to her magic awakening and changing her, Kara is no longer human. But these changes give her a few new abilities in exchange for her green skin and change in physiology.

    - Fire Weakness: She is especially vulnerable to fire, both of magical and non-magical origin, unless the flames are explicitly created not to harm her.

    - Nature Walk: Kara is capable of easily traversing natural barriers such as thick underbrush or trees.

    - Toxic Immunity: Due to her odd physiology, Kara is immune or highly resistant to most toxins, capable of passively altering her own internal makeup to neutralize those agents. However, taking in too high of a dosage can still cause injury or dampen her powers.

    - Mechanical Engineering: Besides her magical abilities, Kara is a skilled engineer, having studied engineering before becoming a Converger. However, her fear of fire means she won't work with incendiaries and has no experience doing so. Due to her magic, she instinctually tends toward making more organic-like structures, especially around plant life, when making certain inventions to a personal touch.

    - Moderate Marksmanship: She has a bit of skill using actual ranged weapons, mostly from playing FPS games in arcades, but is too weak to easily handle most melee weaponry.

    - Improvised Invention: Can provide rudimentary modifications to existing technology rather quickly, so long as she has appropriate gear.

    - Photosynthesis: Kara is able to passively regenerate her health or recover from injuries when in sunlight. Enhancing this power to provide faster recovery requires focus. Conversely, healing is harder when out of sunlight. In certain situations, she can even go for extremely long periods of time with only sunlight and water for sustenance, beyond that of normal people. However, unless using magical energy to supplement, she still needs to breathe. She develops this power as her body accustoms itself to being attuned to nature.[LOCKED]

    - Greentongue: Can communicate with nature, primarily plants and fungus, through a telepathic connection. This language is learned instinctually as her body accustoms to being attuned to nature.[LOCKED]

    - Natural Body: When attuned to her form, Kara's body no longer gains or loses weight, with the extra strength from workout out instead transferred to her strength with her powers. She does not lose muscle mass nor gain it, and ages much slower, if at all, as a facet of nature itself.[LOCKED]

    Weapons: Scalpel: A Plasma Cutter that Kara built after finding the components when she first wakes up, with a built-in Acid Bath she added in.

    Equipment:
    - Engineering Tools: Several tools that she carries on her person, mostly travel size and condensed into compartments in her RIG.

    - Small Components: Carries a few small engineering components for minor repairs.

    - The Arctic Survival Suit: Protects her from the cold.

    - The Hacker Suit: Makes it easier for Kara to hack into machines, computer, panels and the like.

    - RIG features:

    -- Stasis Module: A quantum mechanics-related device capable of producing a temporary time dilation, making objects move at an extremely slow rate for a period of time.

    -- Kinesis Module: A zero-point energy projector on the arm that allows for localized telekinesis, though it does not work on living things.

    -- Oxygen Storage: Present within her RIGs as an emergency measure.

    -- Zero-Gravity Boots: Boots that allow for magnetization to nearby surfaces in times of zero gravity.

    -- Maneuvering Thrusters: Allows Kara to navigate easily in zero-gravity environment. Outside of those, she also can use them at a higher strength to dash short distances even on land.

    -- Geiger Counter: An in-built radiation detector in keeping with its limited radiation resistance.

    History: Kara was born in the state of Montana. Her parents lived on the outskirts of a small town, leaving her exposed to the outdoors most of the time, spending time outdoors with her father and developing a love of nature as a result. Her happy life soon came crashing down by the age of 12 one summer night. A storm was in the vicinity and a stray lightning bolt hit her house, setting it on fire. Kara quickly tried to run outside, feeling more safe outdoors than in the burning house. She couldn't escape though, finding herself buried by the fiery wreckage of her home. Trapped alone in between the burning remains of her home left her scarred. She was rescued an hour later by firemen.

    The event left her traumatized and after a month in the hospital, she returned home, the palm of her hands discolored as a result of the fire. The house burnt to the ground, her family moved to South Carolina, close to the border leading to Georgia. She grew up fine but now possessed a fear of fire as a result. Kara also kept to herself most of the time until high school at the age of 15. There, she met two people. One was her closest friend, a mischievous red head who has a younger brother. The other was a guy a year younger than her, a quiet smart blonde who she took a liking to. She ended up going out with him a few times but nothing came from it. A year later, the three were hanging out downtown when Kara found a radio in the trash that seemed to be in perfect condition.

    She took the radio with her, despite the annoyed expression on the faces of both her friends. Later in the day, she tested it out but saw it didn't turn on. So borrowing her dad's tools, she took it apart and soon found the problem. And there, Kara found her calling as an engineer. Two years later, she graduated and moved to Georgia. There, she entered the university and studied her passion which was electronics. Her room mate turned out to be her own high school who also chose to study there.

    Fours years passed and Kara graduated. So the first thing she did was work at a local electronics repair shop and get her own place with her closest friend. A month later, her friend had just bought Dead Space 3. But right before Kara could play it, she suddenly collapsed. When her eyes next opened, she shivered and got up groaning. Kara then felt an itch on her back and made to scratch it, only to touch something on her back. Her eyes now open, she found herself in an empty infirmary. Removing the needles in her arms, she felt her back again and became shocked. A mirror in the room showed that she had a RIG on her back. Looking out the window, she saw that she was in a frozen wasteland.

    Not wanting to go out in the clothes she was wearing, Kara searched the infirmary. She picked up a flashlight that she could hold in both hands like Isaac did in Dead Space 2 because some of the area didn't have any power. The next room she went in had some surgical equipment. Already having an idea of where she was, Kara took it apart and jury rigged it with the flashlight she was using to make her own Plasma Cutter. Her exploration showed that the place wasn't as empty as she thought, since she did find corpses. This made her nervous.

    She soon found a room with some lockers. Only to see a doctor being gunned down by an armed man in a uniform she recognized as the Sovereign Colonies Armed Forces, or SCAF. The soldier saw Kara and made to fire. In a panic, she fired her Plasma Cutter, beheading the soldier. She stood there, shocked as she had just killed a human being. A communication then sounded and Kara patched through, asking where she was. The voice replied that she was in Tau Volantis and introduced himself as Dr. Earl Serrano.

    He continued explaining what was happening, that they found her unconscious in the cold, her body almost frozen. That she had her back injured as well and was decided to operate to give her a RIG so they could treat her. And that she had been unconscious for six weeks and something had happened. The voice, which came from a man, told her to find something called the Codex and meet up with two friendly SCAF soldiers, Tim Caufman and Sam Ackerman. This told Kara beyond of a doubt where and when she was. Tau Volantis in the year 2314.

    Wanting to survive, she chose to help the doctor. After putting on the Arctic Survival Suit for the RIG, Kara began her search. It wasn't long until she found both soldiers and helped them search for the Codex. She was annoyed by Sam's constant complaining and Tim had to stand in between two get them to calm down. Both soldiers did take the chance to teach her how to use a RIG, believing that her coma had affected her mentally due to having been in the cold unprotected.

    Soon enough, the three found the crashed ship and went inside. Traversing their way to the bridge, Kara found some components and a damaged bench. She got to work on making a new weapon, believing her Plasma Cutter wouldn't be enough, but only having enough gear to supplement it with an acid-based upgrade. Just as she finished building, the ship began to fall. Quickly rendezvousing with the others, they all rappelled away from the burning ship. Sam ended up crushed underneath the debris while Kara got clear of it but hit the ground to hard, causing her to get knocked out.

    A few minutes later, Kara woke up to the sound of a gunshot. Groaning, she saw Tim's body fall, a hole in his head. She also saw a man messing with the Codex. Realizing that he was deleting the information, Kara quickly got up and tackled the soldier. The two wrestled with each other before Kara was pushed away. Panicking as the soldier picked up his gun, and noticing her Plasma Cutter was behind him, she took out the weapon she made and bashed him on the head. However, her wound was still bleeding and she couldn't keep her eyes open. So she fell to the ground and blacked out.

    When she woke up, she found herself right outside Merlin's house. Before she could react, the door opened and Merlin walked out. The two traded, stories, Kara explaining her situation. Merlin then explained about the Great Convergence and how it was bringing people from different realms into many worlds in the Realm of Waking. The wizard also surprised Kara by telling her she had magical potential, even more when she was revealed to be affiliated with the forces of nature rather than mechanical technology, on account of her love of the natural world from such a young age. Unlocking her magic, he also had others in Radiant Garden provide her with a Gummi ship. Thanking him, she left Radiant Garden, wanting to go wherever the worlds would take her.
